I purchased this item in September as a “winter experiment.” I live in snowy, cloudy, Northern New York and typically in the wintertime, I hibernate inside & suffer depression symptoms from mid-October to mid-April. I have been using this light for one hour a day all winter & maybe it is psychological, but I feel a big difference this winter. Although it is a very bright light, I like the blue light compared to the usual full-spectrum lights which are usually a harsh white light. I have no complaints about this light. It works well for me! I personally recommend using the light in the morning because if I use it too close to bedtime, it makes it hard to go to sleep.

This light helped out. But 1 year later I decided to get the bright white one.
SAD lights do work. So its not about IF they work, its what kind you want, and will you stick with it.
I lived in Colorado, and the winters there are 9 months in duration. Its dark, cold, and very little oxygen. So I bought this light to help with the sever depression that comes along with that. It helped a lot. But after 27 years of living in Colorado I had to move. Very depressing not seeing the sun or having oxygen. Since then I have been so happy. The light works. If you have a job, you should buy one.
