This product can really be a life-changer if you suffer from acne. I used to be embarrassed to leave my house because of the blemishes I suffered from. I was really skeptical about this product at first because it really seemed too good to be true. The cost is more than I could really afford, but I’d been wasting money on everything on the market for years so I decided to save up the cash and give it a try.

I suffer from adult acne. I’m almost 30 years old and I still get blemishes. This is the only product that has ever completely cleared my skin. (Please note that I never used the lotion or serum that came with it. I already had a beauty regime in place and didn’t want to change that part. I still saw dramatic results.)

Beauty does come at a price, and this product is no different. The cost of the product aside (which is well worth it), it’s very time consuming. The head to the device is only a few inches wide and needs to be applied to “affected” areas for 3 minutes each. By the time you place the device in separate sections all over your face, the entire process can take up to a half hour. Now, this really isn’t tedious if you are going to watch a TV show because the timer beeps to let you know when it’s finished and time to move on to the next section. That means you can watch your show and take care of your skin at the same time.

Aside from the cost of the device, the time to apply it to affected each day is the only factor for me. I have to say that after over a year of using it, I couldn’t be happier. If you are looking for a product that REALLY works, this is for you. I would recommend this to anyone and have even loaned this product to friends of mine to try for themselves, and they bought a Tanda Clear of their own.

Works somewhat; not durable; not for deep acne, July 29, 2011

Bought this 8 months ago. Loved it at first. It’s really great for reducing inflammation and redness around acne lesions. It also seemed to greatly reduce small pimples. It does not seem to help at all for deep cystic acne. It is extremely temperamental and you have to really smash the thing against your face to make the light turn on. It’s difficult to treat your nose because the light turns off unless all the edges are being touched by skin, so you have to hold the edges of the light with your fingers to make the light stay on. Also, it takes forever to treat your entire face because the light isn’t very large, so you have to go around your face in sections, 3 minutes each section.

Worst part: after about 5 months the battery stops holding a charge. And after 8 months the device is now EXTREMELY temperamental and I can hardly get the thing to stay on at all, even when I smashing it against my face and holding all the edges of the light with my fingers.

I probably wouldn’t buy this again.
